What to do in an emergency.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go directly to the emergency room of the nearest hospital.
For non-emergencies call during regular office hours Monday-Friday 8 to 4:30pm.
If your problem is not an emergency but is urgent enough that you need attention that day, please call as early in the day as possible. Calling earlier in the day gives us an opportunity to better meet your needs.
After office hours, an on-call doctor will respond to your call. If you have not received a return call within 30 minutes, please call back.
Call the office if:
- Temperature is above 101 or shaking chills
- Inability to drink or retain four 8oz. of liquids in a 24hr.
- Uncontrolled pain
- Persistent nausea and vomiting
- Sudden onset of shortness of breath or a change in your normal breathing status
- Unusual bleeding or bruising
- Uncontrolled diarrhea
When calling, give the following information:
- Your name/patient’s name
- Doctor’s name
- Type of problem you are experiencing
- Temperature
- List of medications
- If receiving chemotherapy, the date of last treatment
